Your L&S Adviser: Robert Holtermann

Robert Holtermann is thoroughly, indeed genetically, a Cal man. His grandfather was class of 1915. His parents met when they were students here and later conceived Robert in an apartment across the street from campus. He did his undergraduate and graduate work here in American intellectual and religious history. He fell in love and married a classmate, whose father is an alumn and an emeritus professor. Robert has been a College Adviser for 21 years. He has roots here and he knows his way around. So when he gives you advice, he just might know what he is talking about.

So much learning happens outside of the classroom. Have an active life with friends and in the community and you will be a better student.
